Sedona Park is a violin and acoustic guitar duo based in Glasgow, playing weddings and events. We worked with them on branding design, web design and copywriting, to help put across the tonal juxtaposition of their services - namely, their classy, posh Bridgerton ball-style vibe, and the streak of subversive, rock and roll-inspired song selections and arrangements that cuts against it.
And that duality became the conceptual root of the aesthetic approach. Scratchy hand-drawn elements to play off against the rich heritage typography; illustrations of bursting champagne bottles next to a regal monogram; the odd swear word, and copious mentions of Britney Spears - this turned into a classic case of baking your differential qualities right into the branding design and telling the story from the ground up. Branding and Web Design in Glasgow for Sedona Park
For a project like this one, we’re always looking to discover the conceptual heart at the branding design stage, and then have that inform every aesthetic decision thereafter. And as noted above, for this one it was all about creating a classy, rich presentation - with bookish typography, earthy colours, dripping in heritage - and then subvert that with rough edges to represent the little bit of rock and roll that’s in the band’s approach.
And then, approaching it as a bespoke web design project for Wordpress (building our own custom theme for the project, with no templates) meant that we could create a super light, fast-loading website, full of subtle animated elements. We even built a bespoke quote-builder for the client to send out quotes for their services directly from the back-end of the site.
